CSH has conducted various mental health workshops to address the needs of mental health education among Chinese Americans. These psychoeducational workshops are intended to increase the general public knowledge, change the perception of recent immigrants toward mental health-related concerns and illnesses, and help the Chinese American community to recover from post-COVID-19 stress.
Our licensed mental health facilitators are able to tailor the class topics to accommodate the different interests of the attending workshop audiences. In addition, CSH will collaborate with different agencies such as senior centers, schools, healthcenters, and community-based programs to conduct outreach and workshops. Our speakers are constantly doing new research to accommodate the needs of the audience, and provide mental health information, stress coping and life management skills to help individuals of all ages deal with their challenges. In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, these workshops will address mental health stressors related to the pandemic.
We have been working closely with the local program, community agencies, government sectors, from various referral agencies such as ACS, local schools, healthcenters, and local non-profit organizations. Below are some of the program we currently have at Chinese Sunshine House.
